Working with us
The ATC
works with, partners with or is involved with a wide network of
organisations both locally and nationally these include:
Yorkshire Renewable Energy Network (YREN)
Delivering the Countryside Agency’s Community Renewables Initiative
project across Yorkshire and the Humber, the ATC is the lead partner
and delivery agent. This project helps and supports communities
across the region to install renewable energy technologies.
Upper Calder Valley Renaissance
The ATC sits on Hebden Bridge town partnership, the group which was
instrumental in persuading Yorkshire Forward to run their flagship
Rural Renaissance initiative in the Upper Calder Valley. This
initiative has involved over 2000 members of the local community in
putting together town and action plans for the valley. The ATC acts
as the resource for sustainability for the initiative and is
involved in a number of projects:
Energy plan for the Upper Calder Valley
Which will use renewable energy as
the engine to drive social, economic and environmental regeneration of
communities across the valley. The services it aims to provide
include
Promotion, in websites, demonstrations and events,
Expert advice – technical and financial, social
enterprise and community development
Training in installing renewable energy systems
Project management – working with contractors, installers and consultants
Support for green energy.
GIS – the setting up of a Geographical information
system map of the valley with
information required by all groups.
Working loosely with other action groups including the
Tourism Action group,
Getting About group and others.
